Valentino's New Marketing Vision: A Bold Move for the Couture House
In an exciting development, Valentino has appointed Liran Peterzil as its new Chief Marketing Officer, effective March 2nd. This strategic move sets the stage for a fresh chapter in the brand's global journey.
Peterzil steps into the role previously held by Yigit Turhan, who joined the company in 2018. With a wealth of international experience spanning over two decades, Peterzil's expertise in brand development and communications within the luxury, hospitality, and entertainment sectors is set to propel Valentino's global brand strategy to new heights.
But here's where it gets intriguing: Peterzil's diverse background includes senior leadership roles at Compagnie Financière Richemont, Giorgio Armani, SBE Entertainment Group, and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). He has also advised leading government institutions and cross-industry partners worldwide. This diverse experience promises to bring a unique perspective to Valentino's marketing and brand strategy.
And this is the part most people miss: Valentino's CEO, Riccardo Bellini, has been gradually building his team since taking the helm on September 1st. Bellini's first move was to appoint a deputy CEO, Laurent Bergamo, in December. Bergamo, who joined Valentino in 2018 after a 14-year stint at Tod's, will work closely with Bellini in this new chapter for the Rome-based couture house.
In addition to Peterzil, Davide Tosi has been named Chief Merchandising Officer. Tosi previously held the position of Global Chief Merchandising Officer of Ready-to-Wear at Gucci, reporting to Maria Cristina Lomanto, who left the brand in mid-November. Lomanto had been Gucci's President of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa since 2025 and EVP, Brand General Manager since 2022.
With these appointments, Valentino is clearly signaling a new era of strategic growth and innovation. The brand's focus on assembling a strong leadership team bodes well for its future success. As Valentino embarks on this new journey, the fashion world eagerly anticipates the impact of these changes on the brand's global presence and reputation.
